In tts form the number 6 is a continuous curve without angle, without line. It is the total love. It is almost spiral, it is on the point of going towards the infinity.

6 is also the number of the indecision and the choice that is required.

6 is also the number of jars in which the water was transformed into wine by Jesus at the wedding of Cana.

But, as you’ll probably have guessed, to His Podgeness, 6 represents:

Today’s Number is 7

The number for today is 7, and just for today, the number is also 1.

For the Indians in the prairie and the “Pueblo” Indians, the number 7 represents the cosmic coordinate of the man.

The dice symbolises the 7: the dice itself, 1, having 6 faces.

The number 7 also means ‘Red 7’ of the Red Arrows

For His Podgeness, the number 7 means:

As for Number 1!

Well just think, this time in 1 week, I will most likely have been up before even the cows got up (I don’t actually have any cows but you get my meaning), and certainly before the Oceana and the Adonia, Arcadia, Aurora, Azura, Oriana & Ventura arrives in Port: bags and satchels will be lined up ready for dispersal across two cars (yes, we really are taking two cars) and i’ll be starving. The plan is to brunch at M&S Hedge End before the final push to the Cruise Terminal.

Now, serious question: Do I need open toed sandals without socks or close toed sandals with socks for Norway? Will I need a Parka?

Oooooh, I’m sooooo Excited.

Possibly, I’m too excited as for the last 72 hours I’ve been suffering with Pharyngitis and am now floating in a cloud of analgesics (Paracetamol, Codeine and Ibuprofen) 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be back on all cylinders tomorrow.

It’s Now Just 10

At the Mayas, the number 10 represents the end of a cycle and the beginning of another.

For Pythagoras, 10 was the symbol of the universe and it also expressed the whole of human knowledge.

For his Podgeness, 10 means:

10 more sleeps to go;
10 more sleeps to cruising;
10 more sleeps till the big fella gets on that boat,
with his bird and her boy;
10 more sleeps to cruising.

Blimey, I’m so excited I can hardly sleep.

Previously, I announced that I’d packed my wash bag. Well, I’ve now also packed all my drugs (prescribed) for the week + an extra day (you never know).

Now, get this, we’ve estimated the number of cases that we’ll need and have come to the conclusion that we’ll need to take two, yes that’s right, two cars. When Debbie and I finally retire, we WILL be going on a world cruise: just think of the number of suitcases we’ll need then 😉

For all those taking the Oceana out tomorrow (24th) down the Atlantic coast, I hope you have great trip (I wish I was with you all). But, please, please bring her back in one piece.

The Grand Event Countdown Is Underway

When I booked the Grand Event Cruise on the Oceana (sailing on the 3rd July 2012 to the Fiords [in Norway Smile ) there were:

467 sleeps to go:

Now however, there are just:

11 more sleeps to go;
11 more sleeps to cruising;
11 more sleeps till the big fella gets on that boat,
with his bird and her boy;
11 more sleeps to cruising.

The packing has started.

New toothbrush; new toothpaste; new razors; new deodorant; new cologne; new wash bag.
Camera prepped and charged and nice shiny new memory card installed.

The Red Arrows Shall Be My Escort

First of all, a big Well Done to Nick ‘The Mole Man’ for completing his first 10k run, and finishing with the first 10%. Brilliant job. Also, a big well done to Matt for finishing in the top 10 in his cycle race yesterday. Clearly, both boys have far too much energy 🙂
Anyway, at the end of last week we received an update on the planning and preparations for our forthcoming cruise on the Oceana, which is one of the seven P&O cruises departing on the 3rd of July. The day will a celebration of P&O’s 175 years in being: all 7 ships will depart Southampton on the 3rd an convoy. This in itself will be spectacular but now they (P&O) have raised the bar. By way of an escort (albeit briefly), the Red Arrows will be there as well. There are of course other things going on but for me, the Red Arrows, is just the biz.
Then of course, they raise the bar once more as The Princess Royal will also be present to view us all as we sail away. So, I’m reeeeeelly excited now. I just can’t wait so here’s my little ditty as part of the build up:

50 more sleeps to go,
50 more sleeps to Cruising,
50 more sleeps till the big fat fella
Gets on that boat,
With his bird and her boy,
50 more sleeps to Cruising
