Welcome
Welcome to the crazy world of PodgethePuffer, aka Kevin ‘The Codger’ Stirzaker.
Please feel free to come in and browse: There is no obligation to buy. Actually, I’m not selling anything so I don’t really know why I said that. Then again, maybe I am! Anyway, do have a browse round. Hopefully, something will tickle you. Please please feel free to share anything of interest with friends and please do feedback on anything you find of interest, or would like to add a contribution, or even have a concern about any content.
Apart from the inevitable section [about me] the blog is basically split across three theres, these being:
Cycling;
Travel;
Rants.
Cycling: My passion is cycling. I love cycling, have always loved cycling and always will love cycling. As the years takes their toll however my cycling prowess (!) inevitably falls away. Problems with my lungs have caused this to worsen somewhat but I still maintain that hope and determination to continue with riding my bike.
Travel: This is my second passion, and cruising is my favoured means of travel. I can’t swim, I fear the water and yet I feel at home on board ocean going vessels; especially those with cabin stewards, bars, restaurants and theatres. I have been lucky enough to see many more places that perhaps I should have seen but hey, you only live once so why not?. That said, I still have many more places on my list.
Rants: With advancing years comes the Victor Medlrew syndrome. That desire to moan about anything and everything. Most of the moans are just those of an old codger droning on and on but some of them are valid and, I feel, have substance. In any event, what you must realise is that despite all the moans and rants, I genuinely enjoy my lot.
The section about me is intended to be what I really wanted my father to develop: a sort of autobiography. Obviously, I’m not going to detail all the mundane stuff, but where there has been an event that I feel is, or might be, of interest then I’ll add it. This section will grow over time and I will add stuff as and when I feel in the mood or remember. So please be patient.
Anyway, enjoy all I have to offer, and feel free to share.
